House Art Competition
House Art proved to be very exciting this year with the topic of ‘food’ being explored through many differents methods and materials. A wonderful array of artwork was submitted, which included drawing, painting, photography, textiles, digital manipulation, sculpture and also included real food, filmmaking, metal welding and even art completed by pricking a bunch of bananas with a pin by Jess Pugh! We have tried to include images of as many as possible of the submissions.
Of these 'Bacon Face' was selected as the winner, by the judging panel which was made up of Mrs Susan Fensome, Mrs Mandy Price and an outside artist, Richard Mountford who is known locally for his portrait work. Points are gained for the most amount of entries and progressing through to each round of the competition. When all was added, the overall winners of the House Art competition were Burnaby with 30 points, with Spooner, Donne and Oswald all coming in 2nd place with an incredible 14 points each.
