Sixth Form Winter Ball
The annual Winter Ball for members of the Upper and Lower Sixth took place on December 5th at Oswestry Cricket Club. On arrival, students were welcomed by tutors and offered either a Bucks Fizz or sparkling apple juice. The Headmaster opened proceedings with a formal welcome after which everyone enjoyed a delicious carvery of either beef or turkey with all the trimmings followed by apple pie or sticky chocolate cake. Mrs Noad drew the raffle which was won by Ruining Jiao.
The Ball was planned and organised by the Sixth Form Social Enterprise Committee who had spent many weeks carefully preparing every detail, from the table decorations to seating plan.
A great time was had by all; a fitting way to round off the Michaelmas term.
