OO's complete the Tour du Mont Blanc

OOs Roger Morgan (72) and Martyn Bracegirdle (70) spent the back end of 2016 completing the Tour du Mont Blanc. The original plan was to head to Iran, as they have done in previous years, to climb the last outstanding ‘high’ mountain, Sabalan. However, having been refused visas the pair were compelled to find another challenge.

The Tour du Mont Blanc is a spectacular hike around the highest mountain in the Alps with trekkers passing through France, Italy and Switzerland. Roger and Martyn travelled a distance of 170 km (107 miles) over a period of 8 days and ascended a cumulative height of 30,500 feet (9,320 metres) – higher than Everest!
